It is dangerous to make a firm that follows a strategic choice of working on any project that comes through the door because there is no competitive advantage in it. A non-specialized firm cannot compete with specialized firms because it does not have experience in the building type and it does not have references that are essential to get the project. Construction is too expensive for clients to hire a firm just because of personal sympathy. There has to be a solid foundation for trust. In order to enjoy virtuous cycle consequences this firm type has to make another strategic choice that would be based on either the existing experience of firm’s staff or on direction in which the firm wants to go.
